Cancellations & Rescheduling – Drop-In Classes

What’s your cancellation policy for drop-in skate classes?
Life happens—we get it! If you need to cancel your spot in a single-session (drop-in)
class, please give us at least 48 hours notice. This helps us offer the space to
someone on the waitlist.

Can I reschedule my class if I cancel?
Yes—if you cancel with at least 48 hours notice, you’re welcome to reschedule into
another available session subject to availability. We’ll do our best to find a time
that works for you.
What if I cancel late or don’t show up?
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before class, or no-shows, unfortunately
aren’t eligible for rescheduling.

📅 Missed Classes – Term Programs

I’m enrolled in a term program—what if I miss a class?
No worries! You’re able to make up two missed classes per term by attending
another session within the same term (subject to availability).
➡️ This make-up option is only for Learn to Skate and doesn't apply to Dance Skate,
workshops, or special events.

💸 Refunds – Term Bookings

Can I get a refund if I can’t attend the rest of the term?
Once a term has started, we do not offer refunds for change of mind or non-
participation. However, you are still welcome to attend the remaining classes and use the make-up option for up to two missed sessions. For details on your
statutory rights, please refer to our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

🌧️ Weather or Instructor Cancellations

What if Suns Out Skates Out cancels a class?
If we cancel a class due to severe weather, instructor illness, venue closure, or other
unforeseen circumstances, we’ll notify you ASAP. You will typically be offered a
rescheduled session or a credit for future use. A refund will be provided where
required under the Australian Consumer Law.

🛼 Do I need my own skates and protective gear?

You & no, more than welcome to bring your own skates and gear—but if you don’t have
any yet, we’ve got you covered!
Skate hire and protective gear (knee, wrist, and elbow pads) are available for most
classes. Pre booking essentail.

  • Skate hire and protective gear (knee, wrist, and elbow pads) are available for classes.

  • Helmets are not provided, so you’ll need to bring your own if required for your class.

For your safety, a helmet is mandatory at all times while skating. Helmets are not provided by SOSO, so you must bring your own.
Skate hire is limited in size and quantity, so to avoid missing out, it must be pre- booked online at least 24 hours in advance. Please contact us if your size is not available to book online.
* Note: As per our Liability Waiver, all participants are required to wear a helmet,
wrist guards, knee pads, and elbow pads. This is a condition of participation for your
safety.
